Swede Swanson Memorial Scholarship

The Swede Swanson Memorial Scholarship is a $500 scholarship to be given to a graduating senior boy who participates in the Steer Wrestling event in the Nebraska State High School Rodeo Association. The recipient will be chosen by the Swanson Family and will make this award each year at the Nebraska State High School Rodeo Finals in June. The scholarship may be used at any university, college or trade school and will be paid to the school of the recipient's choice at the beginning of the second semester, providing the student has satisfactorily completed the studies of the first semester.

Requirements:

• Cover Sheet - includes name, and address

• Essay about yourself and career goals. The essay should include the number of years in High School Rodeo, events participated in, future goals, anticipated major of study in school, and school, church, and community activities. The essay needs to be at least one to two pages in length.

• Two letters of recommendation

• Cumulative High School Grade Point Average
