POINT SECRETARY DUTIES

1. RODEO CONTACT

Send & receive approvals, send and receive ARTs program, send out           secretary packets, ineligible & cash only lists, sponsor lists to qualifying rodeos. Post draw on website, along with rodeo announcements and order of events. You are the main contact with the rodeos. You notify contestants of cash only status, turnouts to be collected, and ineligibility. If a contestant has entered and is ineligible because of calendars or grade, you have to contact them to notify them they aren't going to be able to rodeo until this is taken care of.

2. WEBSITE

You are in charge of doing the website, which includes updating it with news, standings, results on a weekly basis. You post the schedules, update membership forms, bulletin board and scholarships as needed. If you aren't comfortable with doing the website, Nancy will either help you with this, or do the website for the spring season.

3. FENCEPOST

Send in weekly news, results and standings, no later than Tuesday @ 5:00 PM.

6. MAIN RODEO SECRETARY AT THE FINALS

You are the main secretary during the State Finals. You will need to get all the points audited after the last rodeo, get contestants entered for the State Finals, perform the draw (making sure that no contestant is entered in more than 3 events/performance), make judges sheets. At the Finals, you will help with Registration, drawing pens & stock (making the chips for this too), do the entering of times and scores during the rodeo, posting go round results, updating standings after each go, sending out media results and updating the website, figuring top ten and making judge sheets for finals, do standings at the end of the rodeo. This is a time consuming job at the finals. I put in approximately 40 hours during finals week alone.
