Directors Meeting

February 22, 2009

Thedford, NE

Meeting called to order, with all directors and secretaries present except Lemmon & Gorsuch. Also present were Student President, Callie Schafer, Tylee Coffman, Jeff & Matt Cover, Jace Daly, JW Harwager, Shelby Sanford, Steve Schafer & Brian Sanford.

Corrected minutes and the financial report were given and approved.

Steve Schafer reported that 97 members haven't turned in calendars.

The Hastings committee would like the board to consider an entry fee at State Finals. The State Finals committee will get together and discuss this and bring it to the next meeting.

Tricia reported on the Winter Meeting. Buck Moon and Shelby Sanford also attended. The rule book will only be printed every two years. Nationals will be held in Gillette in 2010 & 2011, and in Springfield in 2012 & 2013.

The Association will donate to the National Association for animal rights legislation.

Nancy reported that all rodeos were approved except Madison, which didn't have judges listed. She will approve that once the judges are turned in.

Tricia reported on awards for State Finals and year end awards.

Tim Cover reported on sponsorships. We have one new Platinum (Major) Sponsor, American West Windmills.

Nationals in Farmington will not be doing motel blocks for the 2009 Finals. Anyone wanting to make a motel reservation needs to make them on your own.

Mark Peterson had some suggestions for the website and association.

Tod Slone saddles were chosen for year end saddles.

Next meeting will be a conference call on April 7th.
