Re: rule clarification for the bareback glove – Picture displayed on Page 130

ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE GLOVE, THERE ARE TO BE NO HORIZONTAL CUTS FROM THE SECOND KNUCKLE BACK. ON THE INSIDE (PALM SIDE), THERE ARE TO BE NO CUTS OR SLITS ALLOWED.

Re: rule clarification concerning the bareback rigging – Bareback Riding, Page 59, #2

DELETE entire paragraph and TO READ AS FOLLOWS: Rigging shall be leather and shall not be more than seven (7) inches in width top center, front to back and over 6 inches at the "D" ring. There may be a concave inset at the center back of the body, not to be over one (1) inch deep and not over eight (8) inches in width. Rawhide may be used under the body of the hand-hold and tapered down the full length of the body to allow it to wrap around the "D" ring inset. Also, there may be full rawhide around the "D" ring inset not to be over four (4) inches in length.

#7 – Rodeo Secretary, Paragraph 17, Page 44

Add to Paragraph:

17. Rodeo results must be audited within two (2) days after rodeo to check for ADD: mathematical errors.

#9 – Queen Contest Event, Paragraph 2, Page 106

Change Paragraph to Read:

(8) Horsemanship 1-50 points. Each contestant will be judged DELETE: twice ADD: once (1) for horsemanship. DELETE: Each time judged will be worth 25 points. Contestant will receive a zero (0) from each judge for falling off or being bucked off horse during the horsemanship pattern. States/Provinces holding multiple queen contests have the option of choosing from three approved reining patterns at the qualifying rodeos. Only approved patterns by the National Queen Committee will be used at State/Provincial Finals and National Finals. No two girls may ride the same horse in this event.

2. To qualify, ADD: for a marking the rider must have DELETE: spurs over the break of the shoulders and ADD: the rowels of the spurs touching the horse ADD: above the break of the shoulders when the horse’s front feet hit the ground on its initial move out of the chute.
