Welcome to the Nebraska High School Rodeo Association!!

UPDATED INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO TURN OUTS/VET RELEASES

September 22, 2014

The fall rodeos are in the book!!!  Now what??  I’m sure many of you are playing fall sports at your schools or have other activities at your school that will keep you busy.

I would like to encourage as many of you as can to make the trip to Omaha for the 6 State High School Challenge Rodeo.  We will have the following Nebraska members competing for $1,000 scholarships: Laree Painter, Shawnie Stone-Swedburg, Libby Winchell, Brandy Schaack, Devin Dibbern, Rowdy Moon, Ethan Lesiak, Nolan Sybrant, Cooper White and Levi Walter.  The other states competing are: Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota and South Dakota.  Students are the top finishers at our 2014 State Finals.

The best part about this event is the conference that will be held that morning.  Any high school rodeo member/parent can attend and it is free.  You will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Jack Stark, world renowned sports psychologist, speak as well as a couple of other individuals.  Go to the following link and sign up http://rivercityrodeo.com/rodeo/161-high-school-scholarship-rodeo. You can attend the conference in the morning and the Challenge Rodeo is at 12:30 pm.

Don’t forget to get your calendars sold.  The student with the most calendar sales turned in by November 1 gets a free pair of Ariat boots.

Banquet tickets are on sale from any adult director.  By November 8, you will be missing all of us and you will want to be in Kearney!!  Students will be having their Cowboy Prom that night---check back for more details on the evening.

Take care,  Tricia Schaffer
