Directors Meeting – June 29, 2008 - Hastings
The Nebraska High School Rodeo Association held a directors meeting Friday, June 29, 2008. President Loren Gorsuch called the meeting to order. Board members present were Kelli Blevins, Makala Butterfield, Tim Cover, Adam Cross, Cindy Coffman, JD Hoover, Joe Lemmon, Mark Lovitt, Tim Sierks, Andy Wearnin, LuAnn Werdell and Tricia Schaffer. Secretary Becky Dailey.
Andy Wearin moved to make the cutting mandatory at the practice rodeos, seconded by Tim Cover. Yea 13 Nay 0 Motion carried.
Election of President.
Adam Cross nominated Loren Gorsuch
Andy Wearin nominated LuAnn Werdel
Tricia Schaffer moved to cease nominations, seconded by Tim Cover. Motion passed.
LuAnn Werdel is 2008 – 2009 president.
Election of Vice President
Tricia Schaffer nominated Tim Cover
Loren Gorsuch moved nominations ceased, seconded by JD Hoover. Motion passed.
Tim Cover is 2008 –2009 vice president.
Discussion was held on gate fees.
Andy Wearin moved to offer optional office fee up to $8.00 per contestant family with the understanding that their will be no gate charge to the general public if the office fee is being charged and it the office fee must be submitted with rodeo entry’s, seconded by Tim Sierks. Yea 11 Nay 1 Motion passed.

New Business
Discussion was held on the lawsuit.
Tricia Schaffer moved to give $1000 to the national qualifiers, seconded by Tim Cover. Yea 12 Nay 0 Motion carried.
Andy Wearin moved to leave point system as is, seconded by Makala Butterfield. Yea 8 Nay 4 Motion carried.
Makala Butterfiedl moved to adjourn meeting, seconded by Tim Sierks. Motion carried.
